Maryland Therapeutic Riding is excited to offer an Expressive Arts Movie Week for students ages 12-17 years old with anxiety, depression, or other mental health challenges. Hosted by Ten Ten Counseling and facilitated by a lincensed mental health provider, participants will gain the opportunity to explore, create and express themselves through creation of a visual media throughout the week.
Maryland Therapeutic Riding is excited to offer a variety of summer activities, including their Summer Celebration week open to ages 7-21 years old. Participants will enjoy a fun-filled week of fun in the sun while gaining riding and horsemanship skills in a safe and supportive environment.
Maryland Therapeutic Riding is excited to offer a variety of summer activities, including their Barn Buddy Literacy Week for students entering 2nd through 5th grade. Participants will partner with horses to learn foundational literacy skills, build connections, confidence and compassion and receive immediate feedback in group setting.
Maryland Therapeutic Riding is excited to offer a variety of summer activities, including their Life Skills Week. Participants will experience daily, unmounted lessons on various aspects of equine management to promote problem-solving, communication, creativity, and informed decision-making in a supportive group session.
Requirements: 21 or older, must provide a lunch, up to date on MTR paperwork, and safely participate with a horse in a group setting.

OT summer camp utilizing equine movement as a treatment tool 3 days out of 5 days. Campers will participate in unmounted outdoor equine and non-equine related activities focusing on social skills, fine motor skills, bi-lateral integration gross motor skills, sensory integration, emotional regulation, attention and direction following. Campers will participate in games, outdoor activities, water and sensory play in a fun novel environment. Campers will all be accompanied by a student/volunteer to provide one-on-one attention to improve participation in play based activities.
This is a unique experience to observe occupational therapy in a niche, sensory rich environment. Camp will be half days Monday-Friday of each week. Additional individual OT sessions will be held in the evenings after camp. Opportunities to observe therapeutic riding as well as OT utilizing equine movement as a treatment tool.

Each Daily Program includes some of the following activities:
- Physical exercise (running and stretching)
- Horse care (grooming, hoof cleaning, mane & tail care)
- Horse handling, leading, lunging, driving, showing in-hand
- Two fifteen-minute rest periods.
- Riding instruction including exercises on horseback.
- Trail-ride and/or games on horseback.
- Lunch break (Students bring a packed lunch) Parents are asked to bring a case of water.
- Games, art and fun competitions
- Riding Demonstrations and Exhibitions (Driving, Sidesaddle, Dressage etc)
