Scout Day

Scout Day is a great way for Scouts of all ages to get hands-on horse experience, whether they’ve never been around horses or have years of experience! During their time on the farm, Scouts will rotate through multiple stations, which include topics like grooming, leading horses, and how DEFHR rehabilitates horses. A farm tour and riding demonstration are also on the docket.

First Annual “HAY” Neighbors Fall Festival

Join our Fall Festival for a fun-filled, sensory-friendly day for individuals of all ages and abilities at Taking the Lead at Timberbrook Farm, where we harness the therapeutic power of animals to achieve goals, inspire independence and build a community.  We’ll have activities including fall crafts, pumpkin painting, and a bouncy house just to name a few. Learn about local resources for the disabled community and experience interactive demonstrations on our services: hippotherapy (occupational therapy on horseback) and small groups for children and young adults to learn skills to make friends.

Children will have the chance to meet, groom, ride ponies and of course feed them treats! This is a great way to introduce your young child to horses. Sessions will last one hour and we will limit the session to five child/parent pairs. The classes will be held on the following dates in 2023 from 10:00-11:00AM (subject to change based on weather). The cost is $70.00 per session. Please call 410-795-8371 with any questions.
