TMF is graciously hosting “Trot Into Fall”, a fundraiser benefiting The City Ranch of Baltimore – a nonprofit dedicated to bringing growth, change, accountability and healing to at-risk youth through the hard work and responsibility of good horsemanship. Benefit Concert; Tribute to late founder, Kathy Schwartz-Howe

This year’s concert will pay tribute to our late founder, Kathy Schwartz-Howe, who passed away earlier this year. We’ll honor her incredible legacy throughout the farm with horses, fun and music. Enjoy popular food trucks, beer & wine, lawn games, and farm tours to meet our rescue horses – there is something for the whole family!

Annual Ice Cream Social with the Big Purple Barn

Come celebrate National Ice Cream Day with The Big Purple Barn ! Ice cream trucks and shaved ice will be on hand and you can mix and mingle with their barnyard residents as well! This event is FREE to our community, just purchase your ice cream and make a donation if you would like to support The Big Purple Barn work!

Maryland Horse Pride Online Fundraiser

June is Pride Month at the Maryland Horse Library & Education Center! Join us in celebrating and supporting the Maryland horse industry’s LGBTQ+ community through our Maryland Horse Pride Fundraiser. Custom logo saddle pads, shirts, tank tops and more are available for purchase online at

Proceeds benefit the Pride Center of Maryland, a nonprofit that provides direct support to the Baltimore and Central Maryland LGBTQ+ communities through more than 30 various programs and services.

Freedom Hill Horse Tack Sale

Come peruse and shop at Freedom Hill Horse Rescue’s Tack Sale! A wide selection of gently used saddles, bridles, bits, blankets, sheets, and more will be available for purchase. There will also be barn equipment for sale and equestrian apparel. All proceeds go to the care of the FHHR horses. Freedom Hill Horse Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit.

Mower Raffle Benefiting the Maryland Horse Foundation

In a show of continuing support for the Maryland equine community, Equine Equipment and
Toro have teamed up to donate a Toro Commercial 60” ZMASTER 2000 Series Zero Turn Mower
to be raffled off to fundraise for the Maryland Horse Foundation. The mower has a retail value of
more than $10,000.

“Toro has been a longtime supporter of our industry, and with this donation they are providing a
big boost to the great work that the Maryland Horse Foundation does for the equine community,”
said Steve Andersen, founder of Equine Equipment. “We are proud to help facilitate this
generous donation, and we are very thankful to have a partner like Toro who gives back to the
racing industry in so many ways.”

“Equine Equipment is always available to help horsemen get discounts on a wide range of
products and equipment, but if you are in the market for a new Toro commercial mower, we
encourage you to support this fundraiser or simply make a donation to the Maryland Horse
Foundation,” added Andersen.

All proceeds from the mower raffle will go toward the Maryland Horse Foundation and the
Maryland Horse Library and Education Center to continue educating, promoting, and
encouraging the horse breeding industry in Maryland.

educational opportunities and promote the importance of the horse industry in Maryland”,
confirms Cricket Goodall, executive director of the Maryland Horse Foundation, “And we are

Series Zero Turn Mower for $100!”

The mower will be available for viewing at the Maryland Horse Library & Education Center,
located at 321 Main Street in Reisterstown, Maryland. Raffle tickets can be purchased in-person
or online at Only 100 tickets will be sold, priced at $100 each or 5
for $400. The raffle is open and will end Wednesday, May 31st at 11:55pm or until tickets sell out.

Monkton Music Festival

Join Puh’tok in the Pines (Camp Puh’tok) as we present our 1st Annual Monkton Music Festival. This fundraiser supports Puh’tok’s school year and summer camp programs for communities in need, including equine-assisted services for special needs children and veterans in recovery. A portion of the proceeds will also benefit Living Classrooms’ Ascend Through Music after school music programs for Baltimore City Schools.  This all-day music fest will take place amongst the pines at Camp Puh’tok and feature 8 local bands, food and beer trucks, and an artisan village.

Enjoy a carriage ride, food from Tea Please, and a free acupuncture session from Ark Acupuncture.
