Our mission is to improve the quality of life of children, adults, active military and veterans with special needs by connecting humans and horses in a healing environment.  

Since 1996, Maryland Therapeutic Riding (MTR) has provided clinically proven equine-assisted activities and therapies that empower the minds, strengthen the bodies, and lift the spirits of thousands of program participants and their families. We serve people of all ages confronting a wide range of physical, cognitive and emotional special needs; including children, veterans and active military and first responders.

From first words to first steps, our 25 acre farm is a place of healing, hope and serenity where participants find freedom, success, and endless possibilities.
