On Friday, May 24 the Races features an afternoon of amateur flat and timber racing followed by a gala celebration. The traditional day of racing will follow on Saturday, May 25th.
Friday will be FREE for the public. Look forward to a craft brewery tasting (for people over age 21) and other fun opportunities. Gates open at 1pm, and the first race starts at 3:30. Tailgaters may use their Saturday spots both days!
Friday also features our signature gala celebration in our rail-side VIP tent. The evening will include a seated dinner, live auction, and special guest speaker, Dorothy Ours (author of Battleship). This is a separately ticketed event.
Saturday is our traditional day of steeplechase racing with parimutuel wagering, activities and fun for the whole family, and a range of hospitality options. Gates open at 10, and the day starts at 12pm with the National Anthem and the Honor Guard presenting colors. The first race goes to post at 1pm. Saturday's highlights include the Valentine Memorial Hurdle and the Iris Coggins Memorial Hurdle Stakes for Mares and Fillies.
