Full-Time Farm Help
Employment opportunity for a motivated and knowledgeable candidate to fill a position on a Maryland Thoroughbred farm located in Northern Baltimore County. Position is year-round, full time; typical hours are 8 am – 5 pm. Pay to be discussed but is flexible based upon qualifications. Farm and equine experience preferred.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to feeding, haying, watering, and handling of horses, assisting with breeding and foaling operations, minor treatments of horses, hay production, cleaning stalls and barns, and general farm maintenance. Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs., be on feet for extended periods of time, and have reliable transportation (including during inclement weather). Opportunity for employee housing is possible, to be discussed.

Days End Farm Horse Rescue

Days End Farm Horse Rescue (DEFHR) is currently accepting applicants for our Summer 2021 and Fall 2021 Internship Program! Ideal for equine studies, pre-vet students or anyone with a passion to learn about equines. DEFHR’s Equine Care and Rehabilitation Internship gives participants a unique opportunity to work with neglected and abused horses seized by animal protection authorities. Work Experience Program
(Internship) Maryland Horse Foundation, Year-round
The Work Experience Program provides qualified applicants with the opportunity to gain work experience in the field of their choice. Hours worked by the participants in their internship are funded by the MHF, so that host sites can provide an engaging and educational experience with no financial burden. The MHF helps connect qualified applicants internship opportunities, based on their future career goals and what aspects of the Maryland Thoroughbred industry interest them most.

Maryland Thoroughbred Career Program
(Internship) Maryland Horse Foundation, June 7-11, 2021
Over the course of a week, participants are encouraged to fully engage in the Maryland Thoroughbred industry and explore a multitude of career options. Graduates of the MTCP are eligible to apply for Career Development Funds, one-time funding that can be used to further career pursuits within two years after the program ends.
