Gentle Giants Draft Horse Rescue Volunteer Opportunities

Gentle Giants Draft Horse Rescue is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Equine Welfare Organization in Mt. Airy committed to saving draft and draft cross horses from slaughter, abuse, and neglect.

Our volunteer program is very hands-on!

Following an initial training period, you will be responsible for duties directly involved with the horses. On a typical day, you will be involved in real farm work such as feeding, haying, mucking, cleaning, turning in and out, farm maintenance, watering, and grooming horses.

Volunteers who consistently complete 20 hours per month may be eligible for riding privileges as well!
